Americans with Disabilities Act Overview for Small Businesses [VIRTUAL EVENT]
In this training, we will provide a comprehensive overview of the ADA, discuss how the ADA applies to small businesses for customers and employees. Participants will learn a framework for compliance and practical steps your business can take to improve accessibility and ensure that all customers and employees feel welcome and valued. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) represents a historic milestone, as it is the first comprehensive civil rights law focused on people with disabilities. The ADA opens the doors to participation in society by prohibiting discrimination on the basis of disability. The goal of the ADA is to ensure that everyone has equal access to goods and services in their community. For small businesses, this equal access translates into enabling your customers with disabilities to spend their money at your business. Presented by: Emily Shuman, Rocky Mountain ADA Center
