Amid relentless news cycles and industry shifts, we want to begin this update by encouraging a simple reset: take a moment to pause.

When was the last time you just sat outside and did nothing? Even for those of us who spend our workdays on the water, the grind can wear us down. The outdoors is our sanctuary, not just our office. So schedule ten minutes to turn off your phone, sit outside, and let the sun and breeze do what they do best—heal and restore.



It’s Time to Take a Stand on Public Lands

Despite strong opposition from conservation groups and Congressional Democrats, the House Natural Resources Committee approved a budget bill with a dangerous provision: the sale of thousands of acres of public land in Nevada and Utah.

The amendment, introduced by Representatives Mark Amodei (NV) and Celeste Maloy (UT), proposes the disposal of 11,000 acres in Utah and potentially hundreds of thousands more in Nevada. Introduced during a marathon midnight session, this provision was passed without debate, despite 140 counter-amendments.

This week, the Trump Administration announced it is rolling back its proposed 145% reciprocal tariff with China to a still-steep 30%. The ripple effects for gear manufacturers, retailers, and guides are real and fast-moving.
